Conversations about Safety

Conversations About Safety is a multilayered, facilitated workshop designed to explore how we perceive and experience harm, violence, and safety within our communities. Through thought-provoking prompts and open dialogue, participants will reflect on where we believe harm originates, how it manifests in our daily lives, and what true safety means to us. This workshop encourages deep conversations that center abolitionist values and envision futures rooted in collective care and liberation.

For this special women-only virtual session, we will create a safe, supportive space to openly discuss our personal experiences with violence, harm, and resilience. Together, we will share how we’ve navigated difficult situations, explore ways to cultivate safety in our lives and communities, and uplift one another through solidarity and healing. This session is designed to foster empowerment, provide mutual support, and encourage transformative thinking about what a world free from violence could look like. This is part one to our 3-part violence prevention series with Atlas Defense.
