What is smart cycling?
Smart cycling is a bicycle education course that teaches people how to ride safely, confidently, and legally on roads and the trails. It’s taught by certified League of American Bicyclist like myself. Below is what we will cover…
Traffic Safety & Laws – How to ride confidently and legally on streets, follow traffic rules, and communicate with drivers.
Bike Handling Skills – Starting, stopping, turning, scanning, and signaling to stay in control and aware of surroundings.
Basic Maintenance – How to do a pre-ride safety check and fix a flat tire.
Crash Avoidance – How to spot and respond to common road hazards or dangerous situations.
With these skills you can ride smart, feel safer, and have a great time with your friends. Cycling trauma is real and can keep you off the bike rather by choice or physically due to an accident.
We want you on your bike taking up space! Let’s do it the smart way. We need the knowledge to share with others. Making the communities a safe place to bike one cycle at a time. Collectively making good choices.

Yoga Class
Old School Vinyasa

Old school Vinyasa yoga refers to a more traditional, foundational approach to Vinyasa, where the emphasis is placed on synchronizing breath with movement. It focuses on the original principles of the practice, offering a steady pace, clear instruction, and minimal variation in sequences. Unlike modern Vinyasa classes that may include creative flows or mix in other styles, old school Vinyasa sticks to time-honored sequences, such as Sun Salutations, and maintains a balance between strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

Bicycle maintenance by Break the Cycle
1st Annual Gear Swap
Meeting Location: Trailhead
Time: 1pm to 4pm
BWB is hosting it’s first ever gear swap on April 13th at 1pm! This is your invitation to bring some things you no longer use to get items you need. This is for everyone that loves hiking, biking, camping, running, climbing, you name it.
I am also taking donations from those that are able to give. Please email bikingwithsea@gmail.com if you would like to provide a donation box and/or have good reusable items that may be of good to someone else.
If you don’t have an item to give feel free to still come! The food is potluck style so bring a bag of chips or a dish to share with everyone. Let’s enjoy a day of exchange of good energy as we head into cycling season.
Items Needed
Helmets, tubes, pumps, locks, bike bags, pedals, hiking essentials, boots, used workout computers, hammocks, tents, used bikes, patch kits, gloves, reflector jackets, lights, multi tools, spd cleats, first aid kits, saddles, fanny packs, gift cards, tubes, carriers etc.
Pedal Don’t Break
BWB Breaks The Cycle
Meeting at Trail Head ~1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway at 5:30pm
Riding 15miles - Easy
Biking with Baddies is a group of black & brown individuals that come together to ride, meditate, and have a great time! We ride in style, we ride in elegance, and we ride in peace. We pedal, don’t break. In order to learn how to do so, Biking with Baddies is teaming with Break the cycle!
Break the cycle will have a bike professor on hand ready to teach us a few things regarding bike maintenance. It can be very intimidating to travel around on a bike without knowing how to handle emergency situations. We have to be prepared for the unexpected and/or ready to help others in the time of need.
Bike knowledge allows us to ride in confidence. Having more confidence on your bike means more rides are manifesting. We’ll have more means of transportation when it comes to commute, traveling, and let’s not forget a fun way to exercise!
We will be meeting at Trail Head the last Tuesday of the month starting in May ending in August.

Natures Affirmations
A Day Together in Nature
Meeting Location: Minnehaha Falls - Pergola Garden
Peace everyone! BWB is proud to be in collaboration with Affirmation Space. Affirmation Space is exactly how it sounds. An organization that offers sacred space for the community to use while grounding, tapping into self, sharing dreams and truth, collaborating, creating, resting or just to let go and be themselves. Come join us for a great day of eventful, intentional, meditative activities. See below for this free event outline…
Biking with B.A.D.D.I.E.S will host a group ride that starts and ends back at Minnehaha Falls from 10am-12pm. This route is for all levels, and all bikes.
Strangers Meeting Strangers will host a number of tiny group spaces throughout the event with multiple topics on nature, selfcare, and healing.
Bayou and Candida will be setting up international crystals spaces and hiding crystals in the nature throughout the space for you to find, share, trade, or simply take home.
This is a free event! However, you must have your own bike for the ride. Lets have a time out in Nature together. See you on the trails.
